While Lucy (Lucille Ball) is helping her son Jerry (Jimmy Carmichael) mount his butterfly collection, one of the colorful specimens spreads its wings and flies out the window. Later on, while at dinner with her lawyer boyfriend Howard McClay (Philip Carey), Lucy spots what she thinks is the renegade butterfly--and the chase is on, culminating in some strenuous slapstickery during a tense courtroom session! This episode represents one of the few times that an optical effect was used on The Lucy Show (in other words, folks, that butterfly ain't really there).
