This picture was apparently made around the end of World War I, when the government was concerned with re-integrating returning soldiers into society. As a propaganda piece, it wasn't very good, and as entertainment, it was even worse (at least according to the trade papers of the day). The film wasn't released until late in 1921, when there was even less of a need for it than there was a few years earlier. Two brothers, Teddy (Roy Howard) and Bill (Alex Hall), return from fighting in World War I. Although Bill has lost an arm, he is anxious to get back to work. Teddy, however, makes the most of his minor wounds and whines that the world owes him a living. Teddy's sweetheart, Dorothy (Claire Whitney), does everything she can to knock some sense into Teddy, who starts getting himself into trouble. Just when things seem especially bad for him, he wakes up -- his downward spiral was just a dream. The nightmare inspires him to shape up and become a man.
