Mike Evans rejoins the cast of The Jeffersons, resuming the role of Lionel Jefferson that he'd abandoned back in 1975. In this first episode of the series' sixth season (and also the first in its new Sunday-night time slot), Lionel is thrilled to learn that his wife Jenny (Berlinda Tolbert) is expecting a baby. But he doesn't want to tell his dad, George Jefferson (Sherman Hemsley), for fear that George will start cracking "race" jokes (Berlinda, of course, is the product of a mixed marriage). The Jeffersons' maid, Florence (Marla Gibbs), promises to keep Lionel's secret -- but inadvertently lets the cat out of the bag in the presence of George's wife, Louise (Isabel Sanford).
