Still tied up back-to-back in kitchen chairs, George and Louise Jefferson (Sherman Hemsley, Isabel Sanford) are relieved when their captor, a burglar (Philip Charles MacKenzie) finally slips out of their apartment. But has their forced confinement brought George and Louise any closer together since the argument that inaugurated this episode? The answer comes when Florence (Marla Gibbs) returns home and releases the couple. Originally telecast as a 90-minute special, "George and Louise in a Bind" has since been divided into three separate 30-minute segments for syndication.
