Synopsis by Hal Erickson

After years of sucking up to his aristocratic landlord, Mr. Whittendale, George Jefferson (Sherman Hemsley) finally realizes that the man despises him. It seems that George is just plain too rude and crude for Whittendale's refined tastes. Thus it is that George swallows his pride, (briefly) curbs his temper, and signs up for expensive "charm lessons."
