Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Playwright Harry Larrabee (Clifford Grey) lives in the same apartment building as pretty Carolyn Vaughn (Margaret Landis). She is friends with a certain Madame Batonyi (Winifred Greenwood) who has mysterious dealings with Dr. Stettina (William Ehfe), a resident of the apartment building's ground floor. A notorious thief known as the Wolf (Frank Brownlee) shows up and terrorizes both Madame Batonyi and Dr. Stettina. He forces them to help him steal Carolyn's jewels. With the use of the dumbwaiter, the Wolf sneaks into Carolyn's apartment and appears to mortally wound her in the ensuing struggle. The crook winds up in an argument with Dr. Stettina and they kill each other in a gun battle. Larrabee, who has had an "inspiration" that a crime is being committed, shows up and spirits Carolyn away to the home of a doctor, who manages to bring her back to life. Madame Batonyi reveals that the Wolf was actually her husband, who had forced her to help him in his criminal activities after they wed.
