Synopsis by Nathan Southern

The popular BBC weekly drama The Inspector Lynley Mysteries features Nathaniel Parker as the title character, a British detective, and Sharon Small as his partner, D.S. Havers. Working together, the duo repeatedly solve England's most baffling crimes and bring British lawbreakers to justice. The April 7, 2005 "Word of God" episode, authored by Peter Jukes, has Lynley and Havers summoned to Smithfield's Market, to investigate the homicide of a chap whose body is frozen, rock solid, in a meat lorry. Their only clues: a phony British passport (indicating illegal immigration) and a page of Vellum covered in Arabic writing - a small piece of an extraordinarily rare, antiquated, golden copy of the Koran. The central conflict in the episode finds Lynley butting heads with Brennan from Immigration and on the verge of losing a great deal if he proceeds with the investigation. Matilda Ziegler and Mark Benton guest star.
