Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
In this dark comedy, an adolescent girl is impregnated during a one-night stand with a man before he heads to Algeria for a construction job. Later all she receives from him is a hastily written postcard with a picture of three camels upon it. Her mother, who was born out of wedlock, gives her daughter money for an abortion. Instead, the girl uses it to have the baby. Although she is determined to have the father's name appear on the birth certificate, the lass is unable to cut through the necessary red tape. In disgust she tosses the postcard in front of her grandmother's portrait. It turns out that grandma was illegitimate too, so the girl is following a family tradition.
