Synopsis by Tracie Cooper
Filmmaker Dawn Sinclair Shapiro offers a glimpse inside of a Nigerian maternity ward. Despite limitations, the midwives and doctors working in the facility offer pregnant woman far better chances of survival in a society that sees some 36,000 women die annually from ailments related to pregnancy and birth.
