A Vietnam War hero and police officer is horribly crippled during a violent attack, only to find a second life as a musician thanks to the efforts of a kind and compassionate nun. Vietnam veteran John Carreck was serving his community as a police officer when he was brutally attacked by two brothers seeking to avenge their father's death. Robbed of both his sight and his hands in the shocking assault, Carreck loses all of his ability to communicate with the outside world while becoming trapped in the prison of his own ravaged body. Now, as a saintly young nun works to help the former war hero harness his talents as a drummer, the demon of vengeance threatens to draw him down a dark path from which he may never return.
