While flying to Washington with Rev. Purdy (David Ogden Stiers), Johnny Smith (Anthony Michael Hall) has a vision of their plane crashing. At first, it seems as though the pilot and the co-pilot will be responsible for the disaster. But when it turns out that the two "culprits" are destined to save the plane rather than allow it to crash, Johnny is once more reluctantly pressed into the role of hero.
