Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Filmmaker Sarah McCarthy explores the topic of familial love by exploring the case of the Diaz family from Wisconsin, and their efforts to form a happy, functional family with their biological daughter Cami and her three adopted siblings. Reaching out to Dr. Marvin for help, Claudio and Cheryl Diaz strive to ensure that their adopted children experience the same sense of love and stability as their daughter by birth. Meanwhile, the experiences of the Diaz family are intercut with vintage documentary footage of scientists performing animal experiments that highlight the benefits of healthy parent-child relationships.
