Synopsis by Brian Whitener

The Crocodile Conspiracy tells the tale of Willa Ledbetter, an African-American daughter of Cuban immigrants, who decides to leave her home in Watts to visit her homeland. Her quest to obviate political doublespeak and explore her cultural history is put on hold when her visa is denied and family members begin to pressure her to not to go. Torn between her desire to explore and her unwillingness to confront these obstacles, Willa attempts to find a middle road. The film's title is taken from the national animal of Cuba, the crocodile, which in turn refers to the island's shape.
