Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
A girl raised by Amish parents seeks out her biological mother, and encounters an imposter with greedy intentions in this adaptation of Beverly Lewis' popular novel. Katie Lapp (Katie Leclerc) always felt like a stranger in her own family. Determined to explore her true roots, Kate leaves her close-knit Amish community to reconnect with her birth-mother Laura (Sherry Stringfield). Meanwhile, another girl claiming to be Laura's biological daughter appears on the scene to much fanfare. Distressed, Katie seeks the help of her childhood sweetheart and a benevolent businessman in reclaiming her identity, and exposing the fraud who stole it.
