Synopsis by Nathan Southern

Comprised of Scott Blasey, Rob Hertwick, Greg Joseph and David Minarik, Pittsburgh-bred band The Clarks impart to their garage rock a distinctive country tinge that has given them a defiantly loyal following since their 1988 formation. The group is particularly noted for its versatility, suitable for (and comfortable with) a myriad of venues, from collegiate radio to FM radio to pool halls. Though initially independent, the band signed with MCA in 1997. The concert film The Clarks: Still Live sees Blasey, Hertwick, Minarik and Joseph before a live, packed house, where they deliver eighteen signature numbers, pulled from their eight EPs of original material. Highlights include: "Maybe," "Hey You," and "On Saturday" from Another Happy Ending; "Shimmy Low", "Train," and "Gypsy Lounge" from Fast Moving Cars; "Bona Fide" from Between Now and Then; and "Cigarette" from Someday Maybe. Sixteen of the tracks also appear on the Still Live EP.
