Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

This one-reel Indian melodrama was directed by D.W. Griffith on locations at San Fernando and in the San Gabriel Mountains during the Biograph Company's yearly winter sojourn to California. A triangle-drama, the film tells the story of a prospector (Frank J. Grandon who cruelly discards his Indian lover (Stephanie Longfellow) in favor of a rich Eastern girl (Claire McDowell). In the end, the squaw gets her revenge and the prospector loses both women. The film has been preserved by the Museum of Modern Art.
