Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Kathlyn Williams, who starred in the 1913 serial The Adventures of Kathlyn (the very first serial made in the U.S.), also stars in this Selig adventure. Horace Wadsworth, the reprobate brother of a banker (Guy Oliver), has gotten mixed up with a gang of international crooks. They shadow antique rug buyer George Jones (a wooden Wheeler Oakman) who has come to the Mid East. They plan to gain access to his home in New York and break into the bank next door, which is owned by Wadsworth's brother, Arthur. Horace steals a sacred prayer rug and offers it to Jones, who falls in love with both the rug and Fortune, the innocent daughter of one of the gang (Williams). The rest of the gang takes the carpet across the Atlantic and head to Jones' home, but Jones, Horace and Fortune are captured by Mohomed, the guardian of the carpet. Before Mohomed can torture them to death, they are saved by a passing Englishman. Horace rushes to New York, and Jones and Fortune follow. Back home, Jo nes uncovers the whole scheme and finds the gang in his house. Along with Horace's brother, Arthur, they interrupt the bank robbery that the gang is committing. Jones and Fortune wind up together, but Mohomed never does get his rug back.
