Synopsis by Hal Erickson

When Rosie O'Donnell retired from her popular syndicated daytime talk show in 2002, she was careful to hand-pick her successor. That lucky person was comic actress Caroline Rhea, whose earlier attempts to launch her own chat show were unsuccessful until she was anointed by Princess Rosie. The Caroline Rhea Show followed the O'Donnell format faithfully, with plenty of interviews, human-interest segments, spontaneous musical numbers, and comedy sketches. The only difference was the person in the host's chair, and Rhea did an admirable job stamping her own unique personality on the familiar proceedings. Taped in New York, the daily, 60-minute The Caroline Rhea Show was distributed by Warner Bros. Television beginning September 2, 2002.
