synopsis
This is an especially strong performance by Michael Redgrave. Portraying a British-educated, Czechoslovakian soldier on the run from the Gestapo, he takes on the identity of a dead British officer. Captured and imprisoned in a British POW stalag, his fellow prisoners smell a rat and he has to prove that he's not a spy. He has also been writing home to the dead British officer's wife and needs to make amends to her when released.
