Synopsis
The story of Dr. Albert Barnes (1872-1951) and his art collection, which includes works by Picasso, Cezanne, Renoir and Matisse. The documentary also examines the Barnes Foundation museum in Philadelphia, which opened in May 2012. Included: remarks from Barnes Foundation president Derek Gillman and architects Tod Williams and Billie Tsien; and excerpts from Barnes' personal letters. David Morse narrates.
