Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Ziegfeld Follies star Ann Pennington, she of the dimpled knees, stars in The Antics of Ann. There's a plot lurking about somewhere concerning the hoydenish Pennington's attempts to crash society. But who cared about a plot, so long as the ebullient Ms. Pennington was seen dancing away while wearing as little as legally possible? The boyfriend is played by the appropriately named Harry Ham, while her rival is portrayed by Ormi Hawley, not a bad looker in her own right. The Antics of Ann was filmed in 1917, some seven years before Ann Pennington achieved immortality through her introduction of the roaring-20s dance craze, the "Black Bottom".
