Synopsis by Mark Deming

A geeky electronics whiz becomes an unlikely hero in this sci-fi-slanted adventure comedy. Nebbishy Ramon (Xavi Mira) is a bright but socially inept young man who repairs watches for a living and moons over Angie (Neus Asensi), a beautiful woman who passes by his window every day. One day, a man named Andros (William Miller) appears in Ramon's home to tell him that global catastrophe is at hand, and Ramon is the only man who can stop it. Ramon is convinced Andros is a crackpot until one of his predictions comes to pass, and he suspects the strange visitor really is the time traveler he claims to be. To perform his mysterious assignment, Andros gives Ramon a supply of time-travel pills; however, Ramon manages to misplace most of them, while his neighbor Terrades finds the tablets and decides to use them to help his favorite soccer team win an upcoming tournament. Originally screened on Spanish television, Tempus Fugit later received theatrical release in other parts of the world.
