The Toronto Activist Video Collective is a loose-knit group of filmmakers striving to make political change through opinionated, sometimes confrontational documentaries, one of which made the museum and festival rounds in the fall of 2003. Part of their third series of "VideoActive" programming, Tear Gas Holiday focuses on the Summit of the Americas conference held in Quebec City in the spring of 2001 and follows the attempts of activists to make their voices heard in the midst of these free trade negotiations.
