Synopsis by Nathan Southern
The wildly successful African American Pentecostal minister and televangelist Bishop T.D. Jakes claims one of the largest ministries in the Dallas metropolitan area, known as 'The Potter's House,' and his own series on the TBN network. In the home video release T.D. Jakes: The Potter House Presents: T.D. Jakes - Still Friends, Jakes delivers one of his sermons from the pulpit, before his Dallas congregation, and uses the message to examine friendship from a Christian perspective. He illustrates how true friendship does not come unattached or unadorned; to be valid, it must incorporate selflessness, unconditional acceptance, honesty, sincerity, and - occasionally - tough love, that entails telling others what they need to hear, in lieu of what they want to hear.
