Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Veteran Western star Neal Hart played a Northwest Mounted Police officer tracking an unscrupulous promoter (Ed Roseman) from the Canadian wilderness to the skyscrapers of New York City in this fanciful outdoors melodrama written and directed by Charles Bartlett. The promoter, Lawson, escapes the arm of the law and returns to the northwoods before he is finally captured by Corporal Borden (Hart). The latter takes time out from hunting villains to reunite two long-lost sisters (Violet Palmer and Gladys Hampton). Tangled Trails was the first of eight Westerns produced by and starring Hart and released by William Steiner productions.
