This confusing marital melodrama features Lon Chaney as a husband who mistakenly believes his wife (Marjorie Ellison) to be having an affair with a rich libertine (Haywood Mack). The irate husband attempts to kill the lover, but the bullet hits his innocent, if flirtatious, wife instead. The trade-paper Wid's Film Daily found Tangled Hearts to be "an offering which will interest and hold quite well because the story has some truly tangled situations."
