Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
This early Russian propaganda drama chronicles the efforts of a shepherd who is in love with a young woman. Unfortunately, he must compete with two other suitors, one of whom convinces a monk to send the poor shepherd to Manchuria. There, the young man learns that his country is about to be invaded. Bravely, he races home to warn his people. They are so grateful that he is allowed to marry his dream girl.
