Jewel merchant Curtis Prescott (Elliot Dexter) is carrying the famed Kimberly diamond from Amsterdam to England when it is stolen aboard ship. Also on the voyage is Sylvia Carroll (Irene Castle), an American Secret Service agent, and Hemming (J.W. Percival) of Scotland Yard. Sylvia sees the theft as the work of the infamous Wade gang, while Hemming believes that Prescott has not only taken the diamond for himself, he is also responsible for the murder of his former employer, Van Brunn (J.H. Gilmour). Sylvia returns to the States, and Prescott, whom she has come to love, shows up shortly afterward as a fugitive from justice. It is up to Sylvia to prove him innocent, and to track down the Wades, who not only stole the diamond but also committed the murder.
