Synopsis by Steve Blackburn
As rock & roll radio broke new ground in the 1950s and 1960s, radio "disc jockeys" or deejays, became celebrities in their own right. This video, hosted by deejay "Cousin Brucie" Morrow, chronicles the hits and the hijinks made possible by such spinmeisters as Murray the K, Mad Daddy Meyers, Alan Freed, and others. Highlights include interviews with those who were there.
