Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Any Survivor season that begins with a native sacrifice is bound to hold one's attention. During their first three days in the South Pacific's Ring of Fire (so named because of its volcanic activity), the 18 contestants are divided into two tribes. The Lopevi tribe consists entirely of males, including Chad Crittenden, the first Survivor player to have a prosthetic leg; the Yasur tribe is entirely female. At the end of the third day, one of the Lopevi is voted off.
