The previous Survivor episode proved that being a "survivor" in real life does not necessarily guarantee durability on a TV reality show. So it is that the castaways have been reduced to 12 in number as the African challenge moves into days 13, 14, and 15. A few of the players are on edge -- a few others have lapsed into complacency. But everyone is thrown for a loop at the end of this episode, in which a huge and unexpected "twist" totally shakes up all previous tribal alliances.
