Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The previous episode found no fewer than two castaways voted out of the Guatemalan jungle: Margaret Bobonich of the Nakum tribe, and Brian Corridan of the Yaxha tribe. In addition to adjusting to one less tribesperson, the Yaxha is still recovering from injuries incurred in the last round of challenges. This week, the Reward Challenge involves spooling a thin fabric off of a pole and around the players' bodies: the prize is an exhilarating zip-line ride above the jungle, not to mention a huge chocolate feast. In a rare demonstration of largesse, the winning Yaxha members invite the defeated Nakums to sample the chocolate and join them in a pool party--all part of a birthday celebration for Danni Boatwright. Then it's on to the Immunity Challenge, wherein the players must retrieve puzzle pieces from a sand pit, then assemble a huge Mayan calendar.
