With eight contestants already voted off the island of Koh Tarutao, the merger of the two tribes finally occurs -- two weeks after the merging was supposed to have occurred. The remaining castaways, previously from the competing Chuay Gahn and Soon Jai tribes, are now all members of the single Chuay Jai tribe as dictated by series host Jeff Probst. By the end of Day 27, another contestant has been simultaneously voted off the island and appointed to the jury -- but not before a display of temperament from castaway Ted Rogers Jr..
