Synopsis by Mark Deming
Formed by former Pantera vocalist Philip Anselmo, Superjoint Ritual play rock & roll at its hardest and heaviest with no compromise to fashion, trends, or the charts. In the spring of 2004, Superjoint Ritual played a rare club show at New York City's home of punk, CBGB, and a camera crew was on hand to capture the mayhem on videotape. Superjoint Ritual: Live at CBGB 2004 preserves this show on plastic for the fans who couldn't be there; songs include "Antifaith," "The Destruction of a Person," "Waiting for the Turning Point," "Personal Insult," "The Alcoholik," and more.
