Super Gals! revolves around the kogal subculture in Tokyo: these ultramodern girls who call themselves Gals, hang out in Shibuya, the chicest shopping district, wear the hippest new clothes that look like they came straight out of a music video, and tend to be as sun-kissed as any California beach bunny. One young Gal named Kotobuki Ran prides herself in being the most respected, most popular Gal in her school and she plans to stay that way. The only problem with her ideas is that she comes from a family of police officers, and they'd like her to give up her fashion-forward lifestyle for the gritty line of work they've chosen. Ran already has her hands full with maintaining a passing grade-point average and keeping up with cut-throat rival Gals, can she make her family happy as well?
