Synopsis by Jonathan Crow
Following up on his cult hit Exorsister, Takao Nakano spins this unlikely softcore sports drama about women donning loincloths and going to the mat. The film opens with a yakuza named Arakuma getting out of stir and looking to live life on the straight and narrow. Through a bizarre series of events, the mobster meets Ruriko (Eba), a young lass eager to learn the lost art of female sumo wrestling. Arakuma's mother was a maven of the dying sport and is soon teaching the girl some wrestling moves. As interest in the sport grows, he begins to recruit other women, including a clueless housewife (Kei Mizutani), and soon a full-on, no-holds-barred wrestling tournament is in the making.
