Subhumans: All Gone Live (1998)

Synopsis by Mark Deming
One of the most powerful British punk bands of the '80s, the Subhumans fused the angry power of old-school punk with the lean melodic grooves of ska and married them to furious politically oriented lyrics. The band parted ways in the late '80s, with several former members forming Citizen Fish, but in 2003 they re-emerged with a new album and a concert tour, and this performance video finds the Subhumans back at the peak of their powers. Subhumans: All Gone Live includes the songs "All Gone Dead," "Mickey Mouse Is Dead," "Work-Rest-Play-Die," "This Year's War," "Waste of Breath," "Subvert City," "Human Error," and many more.
