Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

One of four Yakima Canutt Westerns produced by Ben Wilson Productions in 1925, this film featured the stunt man turned cowboy hero as Jim Weston, who gets a job on the Drake ranch after saving Mary Drake from a runaway horse. The well-liked Jim is soon accused of cattle rustling by the ranch foreman, and to prove his innocence, goes after the real rustlers. With Mary hiding behind a rock, Jim takes on the gang, revealing that he is really an undercover lawman. Directed by the prolific Ward Hayes and written by Perry N. Vekroff, The Strange Rider was released by poverty row company Arrow.
