Synopsis by Dan Pavlides
Two young boys from different backgrounds form a friendship in post-war Romania in this childhood drama. One boy is a good student from a poor family who has trouble finding a cause in which to believe. When communism is presented to the people as a political alternative, the boy finds his cause. Despite the theme, it does not represent blatant propaganda and is an improvement over previous features from Romania.
