Synopsis by Mark Deming

Steve Morse, widely regarded as one of the greatest rock guitarists alive, shows off his chops in a variety of settings in this home video collection. Steve Morse: Sects, Dregs and Rock & Roll begins with footage from a reunion show with his much-loved Southern fusion band The Dixie Dregs, from a November 2001 show in New Haven, Connecticut. Next comes an acoustic Morse solo gig, in which Steve is joined by T. Lavitz and Dave LaRue. "Cruise Missle", a promotional video featuring The Steve Morse Band from their album The Introduction is also featured. In addition, Steve Morse: Sects, Dregs and Rock & Roll includes an in-depth interview with Morse as well as a conversation with Ian Gillan and Roger Glover, who discuss working with Morse as a member of Deep Purple.
