Synopsis by Mark Deming
Innovative jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan, who burst onto the music scene in the '80s with his unusual "tapping" technique that allows him to play multiple melodic lines at once, shows off his skills in this concert video, recorded during a set at the 1996 Montreal Jazz Festival. Stanley Jordan: Live in Montreal includes the songs "Cousin Mary," "Willow Weep for Me," "What's Going On," "Flying Home," "Stairway to Heaven," and five others.
