synopsis
The American dream turns into a nightmare for a Bosnian Civil War refugee in this revenge-driven thriller from filmmaker Jorgo Ognenovski. With the horrors of war still fresh on his mind, Aleksander (Ognenovski) sets his sights on starting a new life in the U.S. with the help of his American friend Ben (Nick Hill). Just as romance begins to blossom with Ben's sister Jillian, the recent immigrant is accused of murder by the town's corrupt mayor. As the citizens of the town form a mob and begin closing in on Aleksander, he must expose the mayor and prove his innocence if he has any hope of living to see another day.
