Synopsis by Janiss Garza

When Sadie Sullivan (Mae Marsh) arrives in America from Ireland, she is disappointed in what she finds. Her sister's husband is a wastrel and finding decent work is hard. After reading about the wedding between a millionaire and a chorus girl, she decides on a career in the theater. Her innocence is in contrast to the worldliness of the other chorus girls, and this inspires a press agent (Walter Hiers) to promote her as the "Saintly Show Girl." Dick Carrington (Wallace MacDonald), the boyfriend of Dollie, the show's star (Betty Schade), becomes involved with Sadie. The forgotten Dollie tries to sabotage this relationship by telling Dick that Sadie's image is all hype. Sadie readily admits this, so Dollie goes one step further by getting Sadie to go to a certain road house, knowing that it is about to be raided. But a mission worker Sadie has befriended saves her from this fate, and he also convinces Dick that Sadie really is the nice girl he imagined her to be.
