Synopsis by Ryan Shriver

As the bidding for ownership of Sports Night's network heats up, the crew finds day-to-day tasks very difficult to accomplish given the uncertainty they must face with the show's future. Casey (Peter Krause) and Dan (Josh Charles) cannot seem to get the script copy written for tonight's show, as a number of distractions including the network bidding keep taking them off-task. Both ponder the possibilities of the West Coast show they've been offered, but neither seems to be willing to accept it. When word comes that a new company -- Quo Vadimus -- has made an unexpected bid for the company, everyone begins to come to terms with the fact that the show's days are numbered. Jeremy (Joshua Malina) takes the opportunity to make amends for all of his past minor misdeeds against his co-workers -- such as swiping unattended gum and making unsuspected office equipment swaps -- as he and Natalie (Sabrina Lloyd) also make romantic amends and start dating again. Just prior to the evening show, everyone learns that Quo Vadimus has won the bidding for CSC -- but Dana (Felicity Huffman) makes the surprise discovery that the network's new owner intends to leave the show intact. Quo Vadimus originally aired on May 16th, 2000, as the series finale.
