Synopsis by Rob Ferrier

Spies is a video series dedicated to the secret wars that have raged through the past decades. Through archival footage, interviews with key players, and excerpts from unpublished memoirs and recently declassified sources, this series attempts to put a human face on the missions of men and women who until now have lurked in the shadows. Material from the archives of the CIA, FBI, KGB, and Mossad are used extensively. In "The Honey Trap," agents discuss how the testimony of Christine Keeler regarding a failed British intelligence operation brought down a the Macmillan government. In the second segment, "Mata Hari: The Seductive Spy," the legends surrounding the life Mata Hari, the Dutch woman who allegedly spied for Germany in World War I and was executed by the French after her arrest, is contrasted with her actual accomplishments.
