Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

The fourth of eight low-budget Westerns produced by Ben Wilson Productions and starring Jack Hoxie, Sparks of Flint presented the real-life cowboy in a romantic triangle melodrama. Jake Stokes is a rancher in love with prospector's daughter Elizabeth Welsh (Dorothy Holmes), but she leaves for college in the East. Assuming that Old Man Welsh will hit the mother lode, unscrupulous Blane Flint courts Elizabeth's younger sister, Phoebe. Advised by Jake, the girl refuses Flint's proposal and the scoundrel switches his attention to Elizabeth. She accepts him and they marry. Flint, however, is caught plotting to take over the mineral rights to the Welsh land and ends up in jail. Jake, meanwhile, has discovered that he loves Phoebe and not Elizabeth. Producer Benjamin F. Wilson released the Hoxie Westerns through the Arrow Film Corp. exchanges.
