Synopsis by Nathan Southern

The longstanding pop-rock/arena rock act Heart was driven, throughout its many incarnations, by sisters Nancy Wilson and Ann Wilson. It initially emerged in the 1970s, with the musical support of brothers Roger and Mike Fisher, then survived a number of label changes, and reemerged in the mid-1980s with a phenomenally popular eponymous album in 1985 and numerous follow-ups that spawned such hits as "These Dreams," "What About Love" and "Who Will You Run To." The band's success continued unabated over the following decades, though The Wilsons did take some time out temporarily to form a sister group, The Lovemongers. Heart headlines this episode of the PBS music series Soundstage, in which they perform songs before a live audience including "Magic Man," "Barracuda" and "Crazy On You."
