Synopsis by Hal Erickson
In the wake of Disney's "True Life Adventures" series, many an enterprising producer shipped out similar nature-oriented documentaries. Some of these were cheaply and sloppily put together, and are best forgotten. One of the better of the Disney-wannabe docs was Henry Kester's Song of the Land. Using the food-chain and "cycle of life" as his unifying factors, Kester offers a compelling look at how American wildlife copes with its ever-diminishing natural habitat. Song of the Land is narrated by Marvin Miller, best known as the unctuous "Michael Anthony" on the 1950s TV series The Millionaire.
