Synopsis by Janiss Garza

George Walsh doesn't get a chance to perform as many of his famed athletic stunts as usual in this drama. Joyous Johnson (Walsh) gets expelled from college because his wealthy and influential father (Herschel Mayall) wants him off the baseball team. Undaunted, Joyous takes a job as publicity agent for the posh Coronado hotel, but his scheme to get publicity involves stealing a diamond necklace from one of the guests. This certainly lands the hotel a lot of press -- all of it bad. Joyous tries to get the necklace back to Marjorie Milbank (Doris Pawn), the girl he stole it from, by disguising himself in widow's weeds, but he can't throw the hotel's detective off his trail, and on top of that, Marjorie checks out. She boards a steamer, and Joyous just manages to catch the boat as it pulls out. Once he's explained everything to her, she decides she likes his spirit and hires him as manager of her estate in Texas, where someone is trying to steal her property. Joyous foils the evil-doer's plans -- but when the young man learns who it is, he's in for a surprise.
