Synopsis by Matthew Tobey
Released a few months after the album Paid tha Cost to Be da Bo$$, Snoop Dogg: Boss Playa - A Day in the Life billed itself as the world's first gangster musical. The 30-minute mockumentary features rapper Snoop Dogg as he leads audiences through a "typical" day in his life. Between visits to the palace of real-life pimp Bishop Don Magic Juan and the Long Beach Weed Spot, the film enters into a handful of musical interludes with Snoop performing the songs "Boss Playa," "Stop Light," and "I Miss That Bitch."
